Front Yard Fence!

We have lived here for 16 years. I have been wanting to fence in the front yard from day one! From the front you can't tell that the house has a walk out basement. To get to the back yard, there are 13 steps involved. You either go down them inside or outside on the deck. With aging dogs, stairs are starting to make me very nervous. Tom has stumbled several times recently. Hannah, the new foster is one of two dogs that I haven't been able to train on the stairs.

Looking to the left here, the front yard will have a gate to get into the back yard. This will make it possible to bring the dogs in down stairs by just going down the hill. Not to mention just being able to open the front door and let them out to potty! Of course, the next 5 day forecast is freakin' rain!

  1. I wanted a fence for our front yard, too. We ended up putting a ramp off of our deck instead, so the dogs don't have to do the steps.

You will love the fence!!!! Open the door and off they go.

    I love your house!

  3. That's awesome! If I had to do it over again, I would build a wraparound fence too. I bet your kids really appreciate it.

  5. Oh yes, you do have a cool house:) Wow, 16 years to wait for a fence. Looks like it was worth the wait though and I know you will really appreciate it, once it stops raining and you can enjoy it!

  7. Congrats - that will make life a lot easier! It poured for nearly 3 weeks straight when we were trying to build our fence - grrr! It's so worth it in the end though!
